Why you should buy from us…
There are many factors to consider when choosing which company to buy from for your U.S. DVDs and Blu-rays.
We would hope that you choose us because we are a UK company and are dedicated to making your purchase from the U.S.A. a simple one.
STOP PRESS: We have recently found that a number of titles which are Region-Free in the US are NOT Region-Free in Canada (due to them being released under different studios). We test all our discs to check if they are Multi-Region and label them clearly. When you buy from us you are sure to get the right version!
- ONLY GENUINE U.S. PRODUCT
Don’t accept anything less!
When you purchase Region 1 DVDs, Region A Blu-rays or Multi-Region Blu-rays, be sure that the company that you are buying from are not substituting the cheaper and more inferior Canadian version.
These have packaging with both English and French writing on the front and back, often have less features than the genuine U.S. version and they can also lead with a French language track.
In most cases, when you compare the Canadian and U.S. versions of the same title, most customers would definitely prefer the U.S. version (in fact, many of our customers choose us specifically because we supply the U.S. version and because they loathe Canadian versions.
Beware of companies (with U.S.A. in the name!) who only supply Canadian product. Rest assured, we don’t! (see note)

We dispatch all goods from within the UK via First Class Post. This means it’s fast, safe and fully insured under Royal Mail’s policy.
- NO HIDDEN CHARGES
- Exchange Rates & Currency Conversion
When you purchase from a U.S. or Canadian company, you will most likely be charged in Dollars. When you see the actual charge on your statement it’s likely to be considerably more expensive than you expected, because you will always get a lower rate of exchange and often additional charges.
- V.A.T., Import Duty & handling charges
The biggest concern that you should have when you import goods into the UK is that goods are subject to V.A.T. and import duty. The current threshold is £18.00, so any goods valued over this threshold will attract V.A.T. (15%), Import duty (5%) and a handling charge from the postal carrier.
These charges combined will amount to an additional 25% on top of the cost of your goods.
Your goods will not be released unless you pay these charges and if you are not at home when they attempt to deliver the goods, you will have to go to the Post Office to pay these charges and collect your goods!

One of the biggest problems with Blu-ray is incompatibility with different models of player.
Check our competitors’ policies - once you have opened it, you own it!
We guarantee that all Blu-rays that we list as Multi-Region are compatible with Blu-ray players regardless of their region and we test all new releases before dispatch to ensure that they will play on UK Blu-ray players and Sony PlayStation 3.
We will accept returns for ANY Blu-ray that you cannot play - for whatever reason. We believe that we are the ONLY company who have such a policy!
Take the guesswork out of buying from the U.S.A., be sure to get exactly what you want - and without any hidden surprises. SAY NO TO CANADIAN PRODUCT.
